Community Asset Building and Development Action (CABDA) participated in a 1-day Quarterly Partners and Stakeholders Meeting convened by the Kakamega County Department of Health Services. The forum brought together the County Government, Ministry of Health, and implementing partners to review progress of various health programs and ensure alignment of partner activities with the County’s Annual Work Plans.
The meeting was graced by Her Excellency, the First Lady of Kakamega County, who appreciated partners for their continued investment in strengthening the health sector. She reaffirmed her commitment to championing improved health outcomes and urged partners to support community registration for the Social Health Authority (SHA) and encourage timely premium payments to enhance access to quality health care services.
The Chief Officer for Public Health emphasized the importance of aligning partner interventions with the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), Annual Development Plan (ADP), and other strategic frameworks. She further called for better integration of partner activities to promote cost-effectiveness amid limited resources, increased support for SHA registration during community engagements, and the mainstreaming of mental health across all partner programs.
CABDA remains committed to collaborating with the County Government and other stakeholders to strengthen health systems and improve access to quality, equitable health services for all.
