OVC Ikolomani Project

CABDA has since 2006 to date been supporting orphans and vulnerable children, young women, youth and grandmothers impacted by HIV and Aids in Vihiga and Kakamega counties by providing for them basic needs like fees, clothing, health, food/nutrition and education among other things. In addition, the project is involved in economic empowerment, wealth and job creation through revolving loan fund for small businesses for women caregivers and provision of vocational training skills among the youth.
Grandmothers who have been left with children from their dead sons and daughters are also given goats, chicken and vegetables seeds for nutrition and basic family needs. The project supports PLHIV/AIDS through different forums by ensuring their drug adherence, reduction of viral load and creation of awareness of the diseases to other community members.
