The overall purpose of the project is to ensure that there is “increased use of quality county-led health and social services for targeted children and adolescents in Kakamega County.
The Program works towards increasing access to gender-sensitive and age-appropriate essential services f or OVC and their families which are Child Protection, HIV prevention and care, economic strengthening Food and Nutrition, Education, Health. Psychosocial Support (PSS), Shelter and Care. CABDA uses the case management strategy toward the achievement of its objectives/goals.
Case management is the collaborative process of identifying orphans, vulnerable children and their families, assessing, planning, referring and tracking referrals and monitoring the delivery of services in a timely, context-sensitive, individualized and family-centered manner to achieve a specific goal which is case plan achievement.
The interventions under this project are aimed at reducing the burden of lung disease and render Kenya free of Tuberculosis and Leprosy. The organization is reaching out to people with TB at household level through community TB interventions contributing to the national goal of fighting TB. CABDA is also working closely with other stakeholders such as the government, line ministries and partners to lobby, advocate and building capacity of other Civil Society Organizations in Kakamega County.
